1. About us

  1. Loafalong ("we", "us") is operated by Kai Xian Lim, Limerick, Ireland. Contact: hello@loafalong.com (placeholder).
  2. These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live.

2. What Loafalong is

  1. Strictly platonic: no romance, no sexual services, no dating. Loafalong is a platform that introduces people who want platonic company ("clients") to people who offer it ("companions").
  2. Companions are independent; they are not our employees or agents. We do not provide companionship ourselves.
  3. Loafalong is not a dating, escort, medical, therapy, care or emergency service.

3. Eligibility and accounts

  1. You must be 18 or over. Companions complete three checks: identity verification using government photo ID by our payment provider before their first payout; a short video call with our team before approval, showing government photo ID so we can match it to their face; and two references that we check.
  2. Keep your login details secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
  3. Give accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. Bookings and payment

  1. Bookings are made and paid through Loafalong. The price, length and activity are shown before you confirm.
  2. A booking is a contract between the client and the companion; we facilitate it and process the payment.
  3. Booking outside the platform with someone you met on Loafalong is not allowed.

5. Cancellations

  1. Clients may cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the start time. Later cancellations may be charged up to 50% of the booking fee; no-shows may be charged in full.
  2. Companions who cancel late or repeatedly may be removed.
  3. Anyone may end a booking early for safety reasons without penalty.
  4. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

6. Conduct

  1. You must follow the Safety Rules, which form part of these Terms.
  2. No romantic, sexual or physical contact beyond a handshake; no harassment, discrimination, threats, illegal activity or alcohol-led bookings.
  3. No recording another person without their consent.
  4. Prohibited activities: requesting or offering romance, sexual services or dating leads to an immediate, permanent ban and may be reported to the police.

7. Liability

  1. We take reasonable care in running the platform and verifying users, but we cannot guarantee anyone's behaviour.
  2. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
  3. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under Irish law.

8. Suspension and termination

  1. You may close your account at any time.
  2. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms or the Safety Rules, or where needed to protect others.
  3. Clauses that by nature should survive termination (e.g. liability, governing law) continue to apply.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms and will give reasonable notice of material changes.
